Page Generator Or Page Cloaking? Is There A Difference?

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010

There are many, many Search engine optimization techniques around today. A lot has changed in the past ten years. One thing that has not improved is the determination of site owners or what are named as “Search engine optimization” specialists, to attempt to fool search engines.

It’s only normal that when a challenge is placed before them, they must defeat that difficult task. The challenge here is how to get at the top of the search engine with your keyword. Many search engines have put methods in place to provide the most related answer to your search query. Thus, it is not fair the use of that towards them. For instance, you have a web site selling “wonder soap” yet you use keywords like “paris hilton.” All only to get that traffic search to your website. Perhaps somebody will buy it anyway.

Certainly, the major search engines & me & you don’t think that’s fair. I expect whichever search I’ve asked for to provide me the most related sites that might have an answer for me. Simply because, remember, I’m looking for other websites via a Website. A search engine website. I would like to save time, certainly not find 2 million irrelevant results.

So, you see the problems. It turns into a cycle of sorts. For this reason, the creation of the Search engine optimisation professional & firms. A whole brand-new industry forms.

Genuine SEO is making certain your web site comes after standard logical parameters. BE RELEVANT.

Applications that are questionable are Page generators & Cloaking software.

Page generators do just that, produce web pages. Lot’s of them. First generators built lot’s of the similar pages only to have bulky web sites. They had the exact same content over & over again. Generators these days work greater. They have related content. Lot’s of different content. Lot’s & lot’s of keywords. And they all point to your primary page.

Page cloaking software creates web pages invisible to people but not to search engines. There are lot’s keyword pages with very small content and are meant to trick the various search engines into believing you have more relevant webpages than you really have.

Page Cloaking is frowned upon by yahoo and google. If you examine the fine print on Yahoo, etc. you’ll find it’s all there in black & white.

Page generators, on the other hand, walk a fine line. They can be used abusively or used as a time saver. An honest SEO professional will use this software to produce RELEVANT, CONTENT RICH, webpages. A reasonable amount. Not tons of irrelevant keyword pages simply pointing to your main web site.

Hence, is there a difference. Without a doubt. But, more importantly, there is is the big difference in how the are put to use.

Be smart. Go for the long term, ethical achievement. Stick with the organic, logical, ethical, fair, & practical techniques.
